Demigods and magicians book series11/9/2023 ![]() ![]() This provides useful background for events that occur in The Lost Hero, but if you like surprises you might want to hold off until after that novel. We have a short story that occurs after The Lightning Thief: I’m not sure where these books are located chronologically, but I don’t think they’ll spoil anything that you wouldn’t have learned in the first book. Then, start Percy Jackson and the Olympians: This describes how Luke and Thalia found Annabeth, and as such is set some years before the main in Percy Jackson and the Olympians This isn’t strictly chronological, though: for some books, it doesn’t make much difference if you read them slightly out of order. Let's just ignore the movies and video game.Ĭhronological order is usually the best way to avoid spoilers (except in books with lots of time travel, or where characters can see the future…which come to think of it does apply here). Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Ultimate Guide.Demigods and Monsters (A book of real-world essays on the original series with an introduction by Riordan). The Son of Magic (Written by Haley Riordan but still canon). If I was a completely new reader, what would be the best order to read these in? Novels: Many of them aren't released chronologically in relation to each other. I love how Carter and Sadie are just like alternate versions of Percy and Annabeth. There are several dozen novels, short stories and other works set in the same world as Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It made the story and combat rather interesting. This story shows a lot of mixing of Greek and Egyptian magic. It was kind of him to make his first meeting of Carter sound more dignified than it actually was. She just rolled with everything, no secrets, without a second thought. I thought she would have had the same thoughts as Carter did in the first story, but she didn't. I think it's funny how for once Percy was more cautious about something than Annabeth. It was better than I expected considering who the main characters were. Neither of them are favorites of mine, but I didn't mind this story. Annabeth and Sadie have an action packed adventure combating a resurrected god. This one is told from Annabeth's perspective. This story is told from Carter's perspective, and the two spend pretty much the whole story in combat. I also noticed in Sadie's solo picture, she's missing her highlights. They could have been spread around to be in tandem with the events they represent, but whatever. There are a few pictures clumped together in the last story. The first two stories have the two boys meet, and then the two girls meet, and the final one brings all four together. I'm sure they were published separately somewhere, but this has them all in one book. This book contains three connecting stories for a Percy Jackson and Kanes crossover.
